Mountains are dangerous: plan with more than this site
Pages are built by a program from open data. Heights, outlines, routes, walking times, grades, camping and parking, and forecasts are estimates that can be wrong, out of date or missing. A route on a map is not proof that a path exists, is open, is legal to use or is safe for you. Check official maps, local rules, current conditions and weather, carry what the terrain needs, and turn back when in doubt. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety outdoors.
Using the site and its content
- You may view, print and link to any page, and embed a map with the embed code on its page, which keeps the credit link.
- Data from other sources keeps its own licence, listed on data sources and licences: for example, GPX tracks and map data from OpenStreetMap are under the Open Database License, and places from Wikidata are CC0.
- Our own text, design and rendered images belong to us; don't republish them in bulk or present them as yours.
- Don't overload the site or work around its limits. Crawling that follows robots.txt is welcome.
Copyright notices

No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability or fitness for a purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or injury arising from using it or relying on it. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that can't be waived.
Links, ads and changes
Links to other sites are for convenience; we don't control them. If the site shows ads or partner links, they are marked and described on the privacy page. We may change these terms; the date above shows the last change.
